This is a rather long missive, but I feel you need to know the whole story. We are loyal Toyota owners for many years now. We decided to look into getting a Tundra to tow our 22’ camper, thinking it was too much for our Tacoma. We started doing research at the speed of the internet in a 50 mile radius, and West Herr and a competitor came up with 3 similar Tundras, all meeting our needs. Website said it was at West Herr Chevy of Rochester in Henrietta, which was closest to us, so we traveled up from Perry. We were met by a congenial gentleman by the name of Gene Artigue, who found the truck actually wasn’t on their lot, it was at the WH Lockport location. Gene spent considerable time with us going over our Tacoma trade-in, stressing that WH would do whatever possible to make this happen for us, no gimmicks, no pressure, no smarmy salesbabble. We were treated with great fairness and respect. We were told the truck was being ferried back to Henrietta, and would likely be ready for us mid-afternoon next day, so numbers were crunched and a figure was given us to come back with. We did travel back up next day, check in hand, and waited for our new ride. Come quitting time, we’re getting antsy, and out comes the Used Car Sales Manager, Mike Clark. He took us back to see that our Tundra was indeed being taken care of, and stressed that he wanted us to completely understand what was going on with the truck. His forthrightness and that of the service technician, Larry, gave us the confidence to finish the paperwork in a timely manner, with the promise that West Herr would deliver the Tundra to us next day. We have nothing but praise for how we were handled from the moment we pulled into your lot to taking delivery of a beautiful pre-owned Tundra in perfect condition. Everything went good when purchasing my truck besides the check engine light turning on not once but two separate times after purchasing the truck. After I purchased the truck during my 60 day warranty. I contacted Mike Tyson who dealt me the truck, with the problems I had. Such as, the truck being completely dirty when it was said to have been “detailed”. There was dirt crusted into cupholders, dust everywhere, the door pocket was sticky, etc. Also, the defrost light does not light up at night which I contacted Mike about during my 60 day warranty and he responded and said he would get back to me then proceeded to not respond ever again. This has been the worst experience and I would 100% never come back to a West Herr location, and I recommend no one gets a vehicle from West Herr, they genuinely do not care about their customers they care about taking your money.

Absolutely Unbelievable Experience – 1,000% Recommend! I recently had the best car-buying experience of my life at West Herr Chevrolet in Henrietta, NY. I was considering an electric vehicle and came in for a test drive on a Monday. The car I had my eye on ended up selling that day, and there were no others in stock. I was disappointed, but the team didn’t miss a beat. By Wednesday, I got a call saying they had tracked down a vehicle all the way in Syracuse, brought it back the very same day, and made it possible for me to take possession that night—just in time to take advantage of every available rebate, including one that was expiring that day. They literally stayed two hours past closing to make sure everything was perfect. The entire staff was incredible—friendly, honest, and not at all pushy. They truly had my best interest at heart and worked hard to get me an amazing deal and a fantastic warranty. I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. Hands down this was the best car buying experience we ever had in over 30 years. Our salesman Jean Artigue was personable and went above and beyond to make sure our sale was seamless and pressure free. You have to try West Herr Chevrolet of Rochester. Jean was referred to us by our neighbor who saved me a day trip all the way out to Elmira NY. I am so happy with our used 2022 Toyota Highlander. If you want the best out the door pricing up here in the city of Rochester see Jean and he will get you into the car of your choice. Our vehicle was out of the area and they promptly brought in and we were driving it within the next two days.
